Basic exam info
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an associated all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance exam for entrance to the Post-graduate and associate programs in management courses of many management institutes everywhere in India together with the IIMs.
The candidate should be a graduate with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% just in case of SC/ST/DA/PWD) or possess the same qualification recognized by the ministry of HRD, India.
CAT English/Verbal Ability: Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, syllogisms, analogies, antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, idioms, etc.
CAT Maths/Quant Ability: Number systems, geometry, trigonometry, probability, permutation combination, algebra, mensuration, time and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations, etc.
CAT Data Interpretation: Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), Venn diagram, etc.
CAT Logical Reasoning: Clocks, calendars, binary logic, seating arrangement, blood relations, logical sequence, assumption, premise, conclusion, linear and matrix arrangement, etc.
Question paper Criteria:-
The examination will be having 2 sections. The whole duration of the examination is 2 hours and 50 minutes (170 Minutes). There'll be a complete set of 50 questions in sections of quantitative ability and information interpretation, verbal ability and logical reasoning of the paper.

CAT exam form 2016 has been released by IIM for admission in MBA. Aspirants can take online form and price of admission details before the last date.
