India’s largest banks invite applications from eligible graduates and post-graduates for the posts of Probationary Officers and clerks through a common platform IBPS.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is an organisation which conducts recruitment exam for nineteen banks. IBPS conducts a Common Written Examination after which a final interview is organised by respective banks for individuals who are selected in CWE.

Maximum marks: 100

Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks

Quantitative Aptitude: 35 questions, 35 marks

English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks

Maximum marks: 200

Reasoning: 50 questions, 50 marks

General Awareness: 40 questions, 40 marks

Quantitative Aptitude: 50 questions, 50 marks

Computer Knowledge: 20 questions, 20 marks

Duration: 2 hours

Educational qualification (IBPS PO)

Graduate degree in any discipline from a university recognised by Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the central Govt.

Education Qualification (IBPS Clerk)

A Graduate (any Discipline) from any recognized University


Age Limit (Bank PO)

  • Maximum 30 years and minimum 20 years

  • Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1985 and not later than 01.07.1995 (both dates inclusive)

  • Relaxation of upper age limit is applicable. 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD, 5 years for Ex-Servicemen.


Age Limit (Bank Clerk)

  • Minimum 20 Years and Maximum 28 years.

  • Age relaxation is applicable as per the norms like 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PHC
